Children in The Gambia have joined millions around the world to vote for the 2014 ‘Child Rights Hero’ that pits Pakistani girl Malala Yousafzai, who fights for girls’ right to education and was shot by the Taliban as a result; John Wood from the USA, who for over 15 years has given millions of children in 10 countries access to libraries and education; and Indira Ranamagar, for her 20-year struggle for children of prisoners in Nepal.
