PH15: photographs by kids of the hidden city.

Summary: The launch of the book "ph15: photographs by kids of the hidden city" will take place on 14th December 2005, at 7pm, in Arte x Arte. This book contains 80 pages of photographs taken by the students of the foundation, in full colour and a brief summary of the ph15´s activities during the last 5 years. On the day of the launch, there will be a projection show of the images produced by the children.

Foundation ph15 is a space for creativity and expression through the use of photography, made up of a group of thirty children and teenagers who live in the Hidden City, one of the most violent and marginalised shanty towns in Buenos Aires.

In this creative space the children of ph15 learn how to express themselves, enabling themselves to communicate with their community and with others by means of images. Through photography they can overcome barriers such as fear of discrimination.

The different creative activities of the Foundation encourage them to learn to look at their surroundings from another perspective and to show the distinct realities of their lives. In this way the Foundation offers its students somewhere they are supported, where the children can speak freely of their worries, desires and needs.

All the money from the sale of the book will be used to finance the workshops of Foundation ph15.
