Plan in Latin America focuses on rights with special emphasis on the best interest of the child as outlined in the UN convention on the rights of the child

In El Salvador we work in 4 major programs:

Programme: Promoting Equity Health Children:
1. Health promotion with emphasis on child survival, reproductive and sexual health HIV-AIDS
2. Food Safety
3. Water and Sanitation

Programme: Learning for development:
1. Access to preschool and quality basic education
2. Non-formal education for adolescents
3. Literacy
4. Micro-finance

Programme: Promoting the right to protection of Children:
1. Prevention of violence against children
2. Environmental protection and risk management
3. Enrolment of children in the Civil Registry

Promoting the Right to Participation:
1. Participation of children
2. Strengthening of children and youth organisations
3. Strengthening local organisations
