يوثِّق تقرير منظمة العفو الدولية للعام 2011 حالات محددة من القيود التي فُرضت على حرية التعبير فيما لا يقل عن 89 بلداً، كما يسلِّط الضوء على حالات سجناء الرأي فيما لا يقل عن 48 بلداً، ويوثِّق حالات التعذيب وغيره من صنوف المعاملة السيئة فيما لا يقل عن 98 بلداً، ويورد حالات المحاكمات الجائرة فيما لا يقل عن 54 بلداً
