Magic Hospital

MH fosters the well-being of sick, neglected, orphaned, abused and at risk children mainly by designing and implementing fun activities and interactive workshops to serve as support tools for the physical, psychological and emotional healing process.

China:  

We are running 5 programs for sick, neglected and children at risk in hospitals and migrant worker schools, orphanages, street children center and other institutions

"Clowns & Co"- sending Clowns and other performers such as storytellers, jugglers, English teachers on a weekly basis to currently 3 of the main Chinese children hospitals in Beijing and Shanghai, and on an occassional basis to street children center, shelters and orphanages

"MAP" - our Music and Art Programs for children at migrant worker schools, hospitals, as well as a center for cerebral palsy children

For children in hospital suffering from serious or longterm illness we further offer "My Inner Olympics" - A specially designed  medal and one of the 3 different  certificates   are awarded to provide encouragement and a "mental booster" for the children. The second program is  "Abracadabra!"our Wish program.

Outdoorsy - For children at risk in institutions and shelters we organise excursions and other fun activities to provide different stimulation, impressions and to restore at least a small fun piece of what should be part of a normal childhood.

Our 2 major annual events are T-shirt day, a fundraiser cum T-shirt painting wthat was provided for 1700 children in 2007, and Santa visits around X-mas.

FRANCE

"Kids Open - getting out of the rough" adapted and special designed workshops based on the elements of Golf for autistic children to help them train in skills that can pose problems for them such as camraderie, social contact, focus and patience, concentration. The project also aims to enhance the social inclusion of the children,
