Summary: Violence against children in schools
undermines learning ability and may
lead to psychological trauma and
children dropping out of school
prematurely. The practice is often
linked to discrimination according to
gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual
orientation amongst others. This
report makes special reference to
the situation in the US, Kenya, South
Africa and Turkey.
