Working Children's Participation in Actions Against the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Asia

Summary: Report on a rapid assessment
conducted by RWG-CL in April-June
2001, to obtain general information
about the status of working
children's participation in
programmes and other other
initiatives, in South and Southeast
Asia.
The assessment also attempted to gather, from child and adult
respondents, suggestions on what can be done to strengthen
the role played by adults in facilitating working children's
participation.

The report gives an account of the concepts and methods used in
the rapid assessment and of the assessment's key findings. It
also contains the proceedings of the workshop on Working
Children's Participation: Towards a Regional Strategy, which
formulated recommendations on strategies and actions at
national and regional level to strengthen adult facilitation of
children's participation in actions against the worst forms of child
labour.
