Summary: In support of the SSOC and the GMC,
the UNICEF youth rights Internet
forum, Voices of Youth has
established a vibrant network of
collaborators among grassroots
NGOs worldwide and, in collaboration
with them, is utilizing the Internet to
broaden youth participation in the
SSOC and GMC processes. In support of the SSOC and the GMC, the UNICEF youth rights
Internet forum, Voices of Youth ( http://www.unicef.org/voy/ )
has established a vibrant network of collaborators among
grassroots NGOs worldwide and, in collaboration with them, is
utilizing the Internet to broaden youth participation in the SSOC
and GMC processes. Activities include:

1) "Young People and Social Change: Opportunities, Realities,
and Challenges" web message board forum, at
http://www.unicef.org/voy/misc/chforum.html

2) Youth-to-Policymaker Internet Chat with Youth Media Activist
and HIV/AIDS Experts

3) Youth-to-Youth Internet Chat with delegates to the Children's
Forum in NYC and young people connecting in from grassroots
NGOs and UNICEF offices worldwide.

Summaries of each dialogue are being disseminated and
incorporated into relevant side panels and the Children's Forum
working groups. UNICEF Voices of Youth is collaborating with the
U18 Participation Working Group in these processes. For further
