Children in Wales summary of the publication
Children in Wales has produced a set of eight magazines written
specifically for young parents and the issues of concern identified
by them. Teenage parents even chose the title Us
In writing the magazines we've talked to lots of teenage mums
and dads, about the way they feel about parenthood and babies
and the advice they wished they'd had more of.
The magazine contains quizzes , wordsearches , crosswords, an
Agony Aunt page as well as information, advice and helplines.
The views of young parents and professionals eg. midwife,
healthvisitor, doctor etc, are presented in a variety of formats -
activities pictures and cartoons.
The magazines are designed to be sued in group settings as a
catalyst for discussion with a health visitor or other professional.
The magazines are designed to be photocopied so that they can
be taken home to be read and discussed with a partner or friend
