Stop, look, listen: the road to realising children’s rights in Wales – A Summary

Summary: This report provides a summary of the supplementary information on Wales, UK for the 49th Session on the implementation of the CRC. The report summarises the main report from Wales in a young person friendly format. It highlights areas where the Welsh Assembly Government has made positive progress with the articles of the convention, but draws attention to the gap between policy and implementation, as well as other serious children’ rights issues, including poverty, mental health, discrimination, lack of awareness of the convention, physical punishment, bullying, and juvenile justice.
