1379, unanimously adopted by the
Security Council.

Recognizing the harmful and widespread impact of armed conflict
on children and the long-term consequences on durable peace,
security and development, the Security Council this afternoon
expressed its readiness to explicitly include provisions for the
protection of children, when considering mandates for
peacekeeping operations.
