Summary: A series of Primers which
aim to elucidate key dimensions of
the right to education. Each of these
are available for download in PDF
format.

No. 1 is entitled 'Removing obsticles in the way of the right to
education'. It maps out a range of conceptual obstacles that have
to be removed because they hinder advancing the right to

No. 2 is entitled 'Free and compulsory education for all children:
the gap between promise and performance'. It addresses the
cardinal requirement of the right to education- ensuring free and
compulsory education for all. PDF format.

No. 3 is entitled 'Human rights obligations: making education
available, accessible acceptable and adaptable'. It presents
governmental human rights obligations in education structured in
a simple 4-A scheme - making education available, accessible,
acceptable and adaptable. PDF format.

No. 4 is entitled 'Human rights in education as prerequisite for
human rights education'. It is devoted to the orientation and
