Pakistan: Combating Child Labour

The goal of this project is to combat child labour in Lahore in Pakistan. Diya and Association of Network for Community Empowerment (ANCE) will provide basic primary education for 100 children each year and give them a scholarship to compensate for their families loss of income. It is a ‘human rights based project’ committed to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). ANCE will be in charge of executing the project in Pakistan. They will provide educational services, technical training, health services, recreational activities, awareness raising services and scholarships for the children. Diya will be in charge of funding, international support, awareness raising in Norway and cultural cooperation.
