sweat, tears and non-remunerated work of thousands of
committed and persistent activists, access to appropriate
financial resources to support human rights activity has usually
made the work just a little easier. Few are the organizations that
could not have benefitted from that extra bit of money to give
wider circulation to a pamphlet or newsletter, to engage legal
counsel to launch an injunction, or to hire an adminstrative
assistant for two days a week instead of one."
