This Quarterly e-newsletter is meant for people who are committed to the
cause of children within the Right’s perspective. This is mainly to focus on
one of the initiative of BUTTERFLIES, an organization implementing a
Programme for Street and Working children, called The Children's
Development Bank.

The Children’s Development Bank (CDB) is the first bank initiated and run
by the street and working children. Under the aegis of Butterflies in New
Delhi, the CDB project is being implemented, in South Asian Countries
including India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Lead agencies in
each of these countries are Butterflies in India, Aparajeyo in Bangladesh,
Aschiana in Afghanistan, and Concern in Nepal. The Partner agencies are
Secure Future Project in Jammu & Kashmir, Jeeva Jyoti in Chennai (Tamil
Nadu)., Mayurbhanj Joint Citizen Center in Kolkata (West Bengal) and
Mahila Development Center in Mujaffarpur (Bihar).
