Summary: Statement submitted to the National
Committee set up by the Prime
Minister of India in Preparation for
the World Conference against
Racism. The discrimination as
apparent in South Asia is based on
poverty, gender, caste and tribe. The
discrimination and violence against
girl child is worst in the region of
South Asia cutting across the
borders of religion and countries.
