Young people involved in HIV prevention, tell international experts how to tackle it

Four young people from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Canada, will present their views about tackling HIV and AIDS to international experts this August.

The young people, as part of a Plan delegation of 12 youths, are all involved in helping reduce youth vulnerability to HIV in their respective communities. They will present to an international audience of development and health professionals, at the 16th international AIDS conference in Toronto this August.

The belief that children must be at the heart of the solution to tackling the spread of HIV and providing quality care, is central to Plan’s approach to its development work in this area.

Plan's youth delegates will provide practical examples of Plan’s AIDS program, sharing their experiences of what is working, what is not, and their views on what should be done better.

It is their opportunity to critically examine the international projects for HIV prevention that are being conducted in the name of young people.
