UNITED KINGDOM: Voices and Choices - a proposed right for children to appeal to the Special Educational Needs Tribunal for Wales

The Welsh Assembly Government and the Children's Commissioner for Wales think that children with special educational needs should have a right of appeal to the Special Educational Needs Tribunal for Wales. Children should have this right when their parents decide not to make an appeal themselves.

The attached document is the Welsh Assembly Government’s consultation document on the proposal.

The Assembly would welcome your views. To give your views, you need to download a response form here: http://new.wales.gov.uk/consultations/currentconsultation/educat_skills/voicesandchoiceschildren/?lang=en

If you would like to receive a copy of the consultation document in an alternative format, email at the address below as soon as possible.

The deadline for responses is 3 October 2008.
