 On 20 November 2009, the world celebrates the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). On this special occasion UNICEF launched a website dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the CRC. The website contains information on worldwide events of the CRC anniversary celebration and worldwide photo essays. It also features the progress made by the Convention and outlines the remaining challenges. A special edition of UNICEF's flagship State of the World's Children report, dedicated to children's rights was launched on 19 November. According to the press release issued by the Global Human Rights Education Network (HRE), the official commemoration of the Convention at Headquarters will take place on 20 November at the UN Trusteeship Council.
