UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2005: Child Rights at the UN General Assembly - 60th Session (October 2005)

Summary: Item 69 of the General Assembly 60th Session will hear updates from the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, follow-up to the Special Session on Children of the General Assembly that took place in 2002, an update on the Status of the Convention on the Rights of the Child from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and a statement by the Independent Expert for the SG Study on Violence Against Children who is presenting the Progress Report.
