NGO SUBMISSION: Chairman’s Text as amended by the International Disability Caucus (19 January 2006)

Summary: The IDC, a key group in attendance at the Ad Hoc Sessions, has intensively worked over the last 3 months to create a consensus document of reactions and reflections on the Chairman’s text. IDC coordinators have worked in small groups on line in order to cover all the substantive articles. Recently, the outcomes of the small groups were brought before the entire Caucus in order to reach consensus on the responses and comments to the Chair's text. Finally, a team of editors from the IDC adjusted the language and a final draft was submitted for Caucus Approval.
