Summary: The repeal of Section 59 Crimes Act has become a possibility through the private members bill of Sue Bradford. The UN Committee on the Concluding Observations October 2003, has made it clear to the Government that the Section should be repealed, via Paragraph 30. ACYA has drafted a submission which needs to be with the Select committee by 28 February 2006.
