Ibero-American Black & White Photography Contest

Save the Children has announced that registrations to participate in the 4th Ibero-American Black and White Photography Contest are opened. The subject this year will be children’s right to participate.

“Children participating!” is the slogan which invites photographers to take photos of children’s and adolescents’ right to freedom of speech, to assembly and to participate in associations, and to look for and receive proper information.

How to enter

All photographers, professional or amateurs, with photos from any country in Latin America and the Caribbean, can register in the contest.

Registration and uploading of photos will be carried out on the following website: http://concurso.savethechildrenla.org/, where contestants will upload their photos in a digital format.

Photos should show children as active participants in shaping their own lives and their citizenship

Deadline, jury and prizes

The deadline for participating is Friday 15 June, 2007. The jury, composed of Save the Children Communications Coordinators in Latin America and the Caribbean, and renowned international photographers, will select twenty-four (24) finalists, among which three winners will be chosen.

The first three places will earn the prizes established in the contest rules. All winning and finalists' photos will be used in Save the Children’s materials for the year 2008, such as agendas, calendars, banners, etc.
