In Arabic [Cairo- 15 July 2008] Egyptian Center for Women's Rights is organizing a press conference on July 17 to announce the results of its second study on sexual harassment in Egypt titled "Clouds in Egypt's Sky" The study, designed and administered by the ECWR results in a deeper and more complete understanding of sexual harassment, focusing on the private and public consequences of sexual harassment for both foreign and Egyptian women and Egyptian society as a whole. The phenomenon of sexual harassment negatively impacts Egypt’s tourism industry, being one reason behind Egypt's abnormally low rate of return for tourists, and leaving the Egyptian economy threatened. ECWR's first pilot study on the phenomenon was issued in 2006 titled "Harassment: the Social Cancer", the two studies, are part of ECWR's Campaign against sexual harassment that was launched in 2005.
