Summary: General assembly of the World Assembly of
Youth. The theme of the General Assembly
shall be Youth Rise to Meet the HIV/AIDS
Challenge! This is in the realisation of the
heavy toll that HIV/AIDS is bearing on young
people today, who make up more than half of
new HIV/AIDS infections.Please note that there are registration fees to be paid as follows:
Delegates – U$180
Observers – U$380
Scholarships for travel and registration fees are available for paid-
up WAY members only. All observers and non-paid-up WAY
members are required to cover their travel expenses and
registration fees. These fees will cater for accommodation, food
and local transport expenses.
General dates to take note of are as follows:
November 20: Deadline for receipt of all registration forms and
nominations
December 15: Accreditation letters sent out to all delegates and
observers
January 30: Deadline for receipt of registration fees from
accredited delegates and observers
February 20: All delegates and observers arrive in Windhoek
February 24: All delegates and observers depart from Windhoek
