1, 12, 31 March & 1 April – Euston, London This is a 4-day accredited course through Open College Network, at level 2. It is a basic introduction to participation work with young people. On completion of this course participants will be able to articulate what participation work with young people is and what the implications are for their organisation or local services. They will also come away with some practical tips on how to go about putting participation work into practice. Who should attend? * Anyone with an interest in or currently involved in participation work with young people.
* Those keen to develop existing knowledge, or people returning to study after a break will benefit from this course.
* Those seeking progression to further training in various disciplines working with young people such as Youth Work or other Youth related professions at NVQ/VRQ levels 1 & 2.
* Motivation and commitment to developing your skills and confidence to work with children and young people.
* Support from your organisation to achieve the qualification and to use learning in own organisation.
* Need to be over 16 years old.
