Second Prep Com. Children and
young
people will be involved.
In Eastern Africa, UNICEF, Save the Children, Plan International
and the Kenya Alliance for the Advancement of Children (KAACR)
are working to bring together a movement around regional
priorities for the Global Movement for Children (GMC) in general
and the Special Session in particular. Thus a 2-day Regional
Forum for eastern and southern African NGOs and CSOs is
scheduled to be held in Nairobi from 19-20 April in order to review
the second PrepCom and the participation of the region. The
Forum will prepare for the effective participation of children, NGOs
and CSOs in the 3rd PrepCom and, ultimately, the Special
Session. It will also review the revised Outcome document, 'A
World Fit for Children'. The regional forum will be preceded by a
one or two-day preparatory session for both the child and
