Palestinian Children in Israeli Detention - 10 November 2004

Summary: Meeting at the European Parliament to discuss
the issue of Palestinian child detainees and to
present their latest respective publications
entitled "Stolen Youth: The Politics of Israel's
Detention of Palestinian Children" and "One
Day in Prison - Feels Like a Year".

12.00 pm – 2pm, European Parliament, Brussels - Room PHS 7C050

The event will be chaired by Mr. Jonas Sjöstedt, member of the Confederal
Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left.

The panel of speakers will include:

- George Abu Al Zulof, DCI/PS Director
- Khaled Quzmar, DCI/PS Lawyer
- Catherine Cook, co-author "Stolen Youth"
- Ghada Yassin-Arouri, Programme Officer, Save the Children Sweden,
Jerusalem.

A 20-minute documentary will be screened. The floor will be opened for
questions from the public and the press. Documentation on the issue of
Palestinian child detainees will be available at the event.

After the meeting, you are invited for a drink offered by the hosts of this
event.
