NETHERLANDS: International Human Rights Academy

Taught by international experts in the field of Human Rights, the International Human Rights Academy's (IHRA) variety of intensive courses are designed to provide high quality legal education in comparative international human rights and humanitarian law, with an emphasis on practice. In addition, the IHRA offers participants a forum for exchanging ideas and opinions on various human rights issues. Apart from the lectures, a day's field trip is planned to International Institutions in The Hague.

The International Human Rights Academy will be organised by:
-Utrecht University (The Netherlands),
-Ghent University (Belgium),
-University of the Western Cape (Republic of South Africa),
-American University Washington College of Law (United States of America),
-Free University of Brussels (Belgium)
-the University of Pretoria (Republic of South Africa)

The working language of the course is English, and candidates applying for the course are expected to be able to converse fully in the English language.
