Male Victims and Female Perpetrators

Summary: Leading on from an international seminar ‘Zero tolerance of all forms of domestic violence: Towards comprehensive EU-wide action' Brussels (26 September 2012) chaired by Coventry University's Dr Erica Bowen, further one-day events have been developed in order to focus the discussion and develop recommendations for policy, research and practice.

Each day will focus on one theme. The remaining events in the series are:

  • 12 March 2013 Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender Communities: Coventry Techno Centre
  • 24 May 2013 Adolescents: Coventry University London Campus.

A combination of internationally respected practitioners and academics will provide cutting-edge evidence regarding the issues facing these groups with regard to the experience of domestic violence and help-seeking. Evidence regarding the effectiveness of interventions aimed at combating domestic violence in these groups will also be discussed.

These free seminars are designed to combine presentations with discussion around a specified set of questions relevant to each group presented.
