Keeping Children Safe- A toolkit for child protection: Using it effectively


Coalition members to nominate appropriate staff who have:

  • Designated responsibility for child protection or a role in implementing aspects of the toolkit (policy development, monitoring standards, training). 
  • Training skills and experience of training groups of staff
  • Completed basic awareness child protection training

Aim:
To familiarise staff with the toolkit and develop skills and confidence in delivering it effectively.

 

 

 

 

Objectives:
By the end of the training participants should be able to:

  • Gain knowledge about the Keeping children safe toolkit and the component parts
  • Recognise key issues for their own agency in the selection and facilitation of the material
  • Identify some of the issues and problems that may arise in delivering the toolkit and how to address them
  • Demonstrate skills in the delivery of selected material
  • Identify a plan of action for their agency in using the Keeping Children Safe Toolkit.
