Juvenile Justice System - Protection and Rehabilitation

Summary: The Course aims to raise
professional awareness of the child’s
rights concept both in local laws and
bylaws as well as to promote the UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child
The course will take place at the Inter-University Centre
Dubrovnik (IUC), Croatia. As an independent international
institution for advanced studies, based in the city of Dubrovnik -
Croatia, IUC will be the institutional structure for the
International Course on the Rights of the Child in October 2001.
The focus of the course will be ”Juvenile Justice System -
Protection and Rehabilitation".

The basic methods that will be utilised during the Course will vary
according to the specific subject elaborated at the Course. The
respected lectures will be presented in plenary sessions,
panel/participatory discussions and workshops in working groups.
The Course on “Juvenile Justice System” could potentially initiate
new approaches and strategies when dealing with children’s
rights.
Fees are 500USD per Course, 30 USD per person per week, plus
travel cost, accommodation, honoraria.
