International Conference: Stopping the economic exploitation of children: New approaches to fighting poverty as a means of implementing human rights?

Summary: Implementing children’s right to
protection from economic exploitation
requires poverty reduction.
Combating poverty needs to be
defined and designed as a means of
implementing the child's economic
and social rights. One basis is a
differentiated concept of “child
labour” given that causes, types and
consequences of “child labour” are
different.
