Summary: Under the theme of "Respect: an Olympic
Value to create a Culture of Peace for the
Children of the World" and sponsored by the
Department for Sport, Department for Youth
and the Greek Olympic Committee, this festival
will be held in collaboration with AGIA
PARASKEVI Sports Club under the aegis of an
Organisation Committee of several greek
associations and governmental institutions.
Objectives : The fundamental principles of Olympism, contained in the
Olympic Charter, are at the heart of this Festival, which aims to :

- Give young people from different geocultural backgrounds the chance to
take part in competitive and recreational events through a Meeting of
Children.

- Exchange ideas and experiences via a Forum with the participation of
well-known experts,

- Promote intercultural dialogue through an Agora (exhibition area) which,
forming the intersection between the Meeting of Children and the Forum,
will be the hub of activity of the event.

- Encourage voluntary participation by young people, by getting them to
take part in development projects.

- Show that sport, as a means of intercultural exchange, plays an
important role in education and communicates values such as respect,
tolerance and solidarity which are also the values that drive the spirit of
the Olympic ideal. Owner: International Rainbow Week Movement (IRWM)pdf: www.mijaec.org/news/newsletter-festival_international-EN.htm
