Summary: Even though the concept of the
family may have changed, the
needs of the child have remained the
same. In the IFCO 2002
conference, we will return to the
basic elements of family care:
responding to the needs of the child,
enabling attachment to form
between a child and an adult and
acting as a harmonizing force.
