Highlighting Emerging Practices and Considerations in School-Related Gender-Based Violence

School-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) has an adverse impact on access and the quality of learning and teaching in classrooms all over the world.

Emerging research and programming are addressing gender-based violence in and around schools in very innovative ways, and there exists an important opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers and practitioners.

The EQUATE project, which is supported by USAID’s Office of Women in Development, is pleased to launch a 3-part discussion series called, “Highlighting Emerging Practices and Considerations in School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV)”. The series aims to: highlight good practices, provide a forum for colleagues to share new ideas and important considerations, and further strengthen the emerging field of SRGBV.

Session 1: Sharing Good Practices in Preventing and Responding to SRGBV

Session 2: Understanding the Gender Dynamics in SRGBV Programs

Session 3: Identifying Promising Approaches to Monitoring and Evaluation in SRGBV Programming

(Tuesday, August 7th, 12:00 – 2:00pm)
