Global Careers Fair, 2013

In this increasingly mobile, digital, virtual world anyone not using all available technology to further their career runs the risk of being left behind.
Last year we ran our first Virtual Global Careers Fair - exactly like a traditional careers fair, but in the digital domain. We’ve shown that not only does the concept work in the same way as a ‘real’ careers fair, but it delivers huge efficiencies across the board. Last year we helped 2,600 job seekers from 134 countries connect with 10 blue chip NGOs (including UNICEF, ICRC, UNFPA, USAID, and the Peace Corps), offering career options all over the world. And in just 48 hours!
What ‘real’ careers fair can claim to be able to deliver this?
This year we have three major improvements:
  1. casting a wider net to attract more visitors, whilst offering our exhibitors a range of tools to attract and connect with specific audiences.
  2. offering more ways to attend the event, desktop, laptop, and now iPad/tablet.
  3. attendee registration utilising social media to enable exhibitors access to a full, updated and standardised CV.
Why don’t you have a look at last year’s event? We have enabled temporary access to last year’s event at http://bit.ly/11HVdCW - this will stay online only for a short period so we encourage you to visit the site at your earliest convenience.
In the meantime, why don’t you keep in touch with us by either liking our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/globalcareersfair) or follow us on Twitter @GCFsocial.
