Summary: The General Discusssions in 2001 will focus on violence suffered by children in the family and in schools. The purpose of general discussions is to foster deeper understanding of the Convention. Discussions are public. Government representatives, UN human rights mechanisms, UN bodies and specialised agencies, NGOs, and individual experts are invited to take part.
