Documents submitted for the Day of General Discussion (28 September 2001) on "Violence against Children in the Family and in Schools"

At its twenty-third session, in January 2000, the Committee on the Rights of the Child decided to devote two annual days of general discussion (in September 2000 and September 2001) to the theme of "Violence Against Children." As for previous thematic discussions, the Committee invited representatives of United Nations organs, bodies and specialized agencies, as well as other competent bodies, including non-governmental organisations, research and academic organizations and individual experts, to contribute to the discussion.

Several organizations and individual experts submitted contributions and other relevant documents on this theme. Here you will find a list of these contributions by "other competent bodies" received as of 20 July 2001 in PDF and html formats.
